As owner of Gain Your Goals, Inc., Martha M. Newman is a Business/Professional Coach specializing in goal-setting and action-planning on a wide array of business issues. Her coaching is outcome-oriented with a focus on positive change that produces tangible results for her clients. Martha's executive and professional coach training at the prestigious Graduate School of Management at the University of Texas/Dallas has equipped her with the skills necessary to help clients define a big vision of the future for themselves and move toward it with confidence.

 

Prior to opening her coaching business, Martha practiced civil law with an emphasis on contracts, oil & gas, and business litigation. She is past president of the Tarrant County Women Lawyers' Association. Her corporate work experience is in the field of sales training, technical writing, public relations and advertising.

 

Martha served as Vice-Chair of the Fort Worth Zoning Commission for two years by election of other Commission members. Her tenure on the Zoning Commission lasted seven years during which time she made land use decisions affecting the Fort Worth Metropolitan area including telecommunications regulations, big box standards, apartment development, and residential zoning classifications. Her expertise was utilized in development of the City's Comprehensive Plan.

 

In addition to her legal and corporate work, Martha has been a television new anchor, reporter and producer for WFAA-TV in Dallas, winning the prestigious Katy Award from the Dallas Press Club and Best Feature award from United Press International. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She is a graduate of Leadership Fort Worth, a member of the Board of Directors of the Women's Policy Forum, and a docent at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas where she delivers lectures on art history.
